I was a teenage disc jockey. My interest in radio started in Los Angeles when I was on the air at KUSC-FM.
After college I crossed country to enter professional radio. I was a disc jockey at four different stations the first year. Soon, I was Program Director and doing morning drive in a major market.
Since then I’ve had lots of high profile jobs at great radio stations and networks, mostly in San Francisco and Los Angeles. I’ve also done a good share of freelancing.
In 1978 I met my mentor Daws Butler in Beverly Hills. He was the voice of Yogi Bear, Huck Hound, Quickdraw McGraw, etc, etc. Over the years it’s been my pleasure to spread the “Daws Method” in my voiceover workshops at colleges, broadcasting schools, and privately at my studio.
In 1990, I started my own voice and production company in Sausalito, California. Ten years later, I moved to Malibu to assume the position of Image Director at Comedy World Radio Network and Production Director at KMPC in Los Angeles. Recently I returned to Northern California and assumed the position of Creative Director for KZST and KJZY in Santa Rosa.
